Covering the sides of your ANTCUBE 20x20cm nesting tank in this red acetate makes the ants think that it is dark. This means your ants are more likely to build their nest chambers by the side of the habitat and also means you can get a better view of your ants without disturbing them.

How does it work?

Ants can’t see light which is in the red spectrum. By using red acetate only red light is let into the habitat. As ants can’t see this red light they think they are in darkness or underground.

The acetate holds to the glass itself using static, or it can be taped lightly to the sides of the tank.
